Acris crepitans
Northern Cricket Frogs are a relatively small species rarely exceeding 1.5 inches. They prefer the shallow margins of open canopy ponds with abundant vegetation. They are not tied to this habitat however, and can also be found in seasonal ponds and even the slower moving parts of streams. Their call can be described as the rhythmic clicking of two marbles together.
Northern Cricket Frogs are KNOWN from both Fulton and Dekalb counties.
