Plethodon serratus
Southern Red-backed Salamanders are a small salamander with terrestrial habits. They can be found under things in forested areas. They breed terrestrially in the winter and gilled larvae hatch from the eggs, but quickly metamorphose after a day or two.
Southern Red-backed Salamanders are KNOWN from both Fulton and Dekalb counties.
